Dairy Farm Manager

We are seeking an experienced Dairy Farm Manager to join our team on our picturesque 250-acre family-run farm in Northern Ireland. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading a dedicated team in managing our herd of 380 cows, overseeing milking operations, and ensuring the welfare of our youngstock.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a team of experienced dairy farmers in managing the herd and ensuring optimal milk production
- Oversee the milking process and implement strategies to improve efficiency and quality
- Develop and implement sustainable farming practices to minimize the farm's environmental impact
- Collaborate with the farm's management team to set goals and objectives for the dairy operation
- Monitor and control costs associated with the dairy operation, including feed, labor, and equipment
- Proven experience in dairy farming, preferably in a similar role
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and external partners
- Knowledge of sustainable farming practices and animal welfare
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong attention to detail
