Commercial Underwriter Opportunity

We are excited to partner with a world-leading insurance company that is seeking a Commercial Underwriter in Leeds. Our client operates in over 20 countries and is renowned for its excellence, innovation, and customer service.

With tremendous growth, the company has moved to a brand new office in Leeds City Centre, and we have been impressed by the collaborative environment and sports and social events available.

This role has arisen due to the promotion of an Underwriter, demonstrating the company's commitment to career progression. As a Commercial Underwriter, you will be responsible for underwriting renewal cases, collaborating with the Claims team, and developing excellent working relationships with the Technical department and wider business.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Underwriting renewal cases for Social Welfare, Care, Not For Profit, and Charity policies
  • Collaborating with the Claims team to ensure seamless service
  • Developing and maintaining excellent working relationships with the Technical department and wider business
  • Providing excellent service to brokers, prioritizing renewals and mid-term adjustments

The company operates a hybrid-working arrangement, allowing you to work 2 days from home. You will be rewarded with a generous basic salary, plus a 25% bonus scheme and impressive corporate benefits, including substantial pension contributions and financial bonuses for passing CII qualifications.
