Role Overview

This Autism Support Worker position is an excellent opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of children with profound and multiple learning disabilities, severe learning difficulties, and complex medical needs.

You will work closely with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to develop individualized education and care plans that cater to each student's unique needs.

The ideal candidate will possess relevant qualifications in health and social care or a related field, along with experience working with children or young adults with complex needs in an educational or care setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support students with sensory, speech, language, and communication needs using specialist equipment and techniques.
  • Develop and implement individualized education and care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and update files accordingly.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Health and Social Care or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience working with children or young adults with complex needs in an educational or care setting.
  • Possess strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection principles.
