Job Title: Satellite Systems Test Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Satellite Systems Test Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the preparation and execution of test procedures for satellite systems and instrument testing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and perform electrical and functional tests on various subsystems, including power, communications, data handling, and system control.
  • Interpret electrical, functional, and system test requirements from test specifications.
  • Develop and debug automatic test procedures (ATPs) and provide test solutions to meet test specification requirements.
  • Close out tests with post-test reviews and test reports.
  • Provide technical inputs to project test reviews, including test readiness reviews, post-test reviews, and non-conformance review boards.
Requirements:
  • Proven ability to write test sequences/scripts for execution of spacecraft tests from the Central Checkout System (CCS).
  • Test sequence writing and debugging in a bespoke language, with knowledge of C and Java.
  • Competence in the use of various test equipment, including DMMs, oscilloscopes, current probes, and data acquisition units.
  • Knowledge of spacecraft systems and subsystem testing, including data handling, packet utilization standard, data bus communications, and power systems.
Desirable:
  • Programming and scripting languages, particularly writing and debugging Linux/Unix bash scripts.
  • Knowledge of a programming language such as C, Java, Python, TCL, or VBA.
