Job Summary
The Parchmore Group is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate General Practitioner to join our team in a part-time salaried position. As a key member of our primary care team, you will be responsible for managing a caseload and providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Clinical Responsibilities
- Undertake a variety of duties, including surgery consultations, telephone consultations, and home visits, ensuring timely and efficient management of patient care.
- Make professional decisions in relation to presenting problems, whether self-referred or referred from other healthcare workers.
- Assess and screen patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness, developing care plans in consultation with patients and in line with current practice disease management protocols.
- Provide counselling and health education, ensuring patients are empowered to take control of their health.
- Admit or discharge patients to and from the caseload, referring to other care providers as appropriate.
- Record clear and contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standards, contributing to the development of computer-based patient records.
- Collect data for audit purposes, ensuring evidence-based best practice.
- Prescribe in accordance with the practice prescribing formulary, avoiding hand-written prescriptions whenever possible.
Other Responsibilities
- Awareness of and compliance with all relevant practice policies, guidelines, QOF, prescribing, confidentiality, data protection, and health and safety.
- A commitment to life-long learning and audit, ensuring evidence-based best practice.
- Contributing to evaluation, audit, and clinical standard setting within the organisation.
- Contributing to the development of computer-based patient records and summarising patient records.
