Job Title: Solicitor - Crime Specialist

IBB Law is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Solicitor to join our Crime Division. As a Solicitor - Crime Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality legal services to clients on all aspects of general crime, including advice and advocacy in the Magistrates Courts and at the Police station.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert legal advice and representation to clients in the Magistrates Courts and at the Police station.
  • Utilize technical knowledge and skills to analyze information, reach sound decisions, and communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.
  • Meet IBB quality and professional standards, including ensuring personal targets are achieved, maintaining accurate records, and adhering to the Code of Conduct on client care.
  • Develop innovative ways to achieve competitive advantage and profitability by working with colleagues to improve process, communication, and speed of service delivery.
  • Ensure good working relationships with referrers and other external contacts.
  • Optimize the use of technology and applications to enhance the client experience.
  • Remain professionally and technically up to date by participating in learning and development activities and recording CPD.
Person Specification:
  • Duty Qualified Solicitor with a strong academic background and a clean practising certificate from the SRA.
  • Indicatively, 3-6 years post-qualification experience in this area of legal work.
  • Exposure to a broad range of cases and clients at Magistrates Court.
  • Strong exposure to broad areas of law with an understanding of both contentious and non-contentious matters.
  • IT literate with proficient knowledge of Microsoft applications and document management systems.
  • Able to take a flexible approach and work to tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards and attention to detail.
