About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team. As a Supply SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work with nursery, primary, and secondary students, providing support to the class teacher and offering general classroom support to students, as well as 1:1 support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the class teacher in delivering lessons and managing the classroom
  • Offer general classroom support to students, including 1:1 support
  • Manage behaviour and maintain a tidy classroom
  • Monitor students during break times and meal times
  • Prepare activities, including printing and photocopying
  • Provide emotional support to SEN students

About You:

  • At least 1 year of experience as a Teaching Assistant in a UK school
  • Understanding of safeguarding policies and guidelines
  • Knowledge of SEND, including learning and behavioural needs
  • Ability to handle challenging situations calmly
  • Good initiative and a caring, patient, and dedicated approach
  • Good team player with a great sense of humour
