We are seeking a skilled Addiction Psychiatry Specialist to join our team, working closely with multidisciplinary staff in community addiction teams, substance misuse nursing liaison teams, mental health services, and the acute sector.

The role will involve providing specialist clinical skills and professional expertise in addiction psychiatry, contributing to the development of a recovery-based service across Lanarkshire.

Estimated Salary: £65,000 - £85,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Job Description

  • To provide specialist clinical skills and professional expertise in addiction psychiatry, working collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams.
  • To contribute to the development of a progressive, forward-looking, and recovery-based addiction service across Lanarkshire.
  • To work closely with mental health services, local social work services, and the acute sector, as well as third-sector organizations and peer support services.
  • To participate in regular joint working with these stakeholders to ensure seamless care pathways and effective service delivery.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Degree in Medicine or equivalent qualification.
  • Specialist training in Addiction Psychiatry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with Scottish NHS policies and procedures.
