Job Title: Assembly Fitter

Celeros Flow Technology is seeking a skilled Assembly Fitter to join our team in the assembly area. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assembling and disassembling pumps for Original Equipment and aftermarket orders, ensuring high-quality workmanship and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assemble new pumps for OE and aftermarket orders within laid-down parameters, efficiently, in line with work instructions.
  • Dismantle and assemble repair/service pumps for OE and aftermarket orders within laid-down parameters, efficiently, in line with work instructions.
  • Work within the assembly area to ensure economic manufacturing to the correct quality standard.
  • Responsible for your own quality of work, self-inspection, and completion of paperwork and applicable checklists.
  • Assist the Operations Manager with problems that occur within the assembly department, working with other departments to ensure issues are resolved and documented in line with current procedures in a timely manner.
  • Assist in preparing/updating assembly documentation, programs, and tooling.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities to assist the company in its efforts to drive down costs and increase productivity.
  • Be available to attend customer sites to carry out service work on behalf of the company, if required.
  • Work in other areas when required.
  • Work with managers to implement the company's policies and goals.
  • Ensure that health, safety, and environmental guidelines are followed.
  • Provide ongoing support and training to peers and apprentices within the assembly area, as and where required.
  • Be available for further training, if required.
  • Assist in the test area, which includes hydro, performance, noise, and vibration testing, setting up and stripping product off test, efficiently, in line with work instructions.
Requirements:
  • Time-served Mechanical Fitter with up to 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in heavy manufacturing.
  • Understanding and experience of lean manufacturing techniques.
  • Team player with a high level of energy and commitment required for participating in and implementing change.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbally.
