London, Greater London, United Kingdom Robert Walters Full time

We are partnering with a successful international business operating in the oil and gas sector to fill a newly created opportunity for a Treasury Manager to lead treasury management activities.

This role offers a broad and pivotal opportunity to work directly with senior leadership across an international group and support ongoing strategic business initiatives.

As a Treasury Manager, you will play a critical role in managing the company's financial resources, with a focus on complex project financing and hedging instruments to mitigate financial risks.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Executing complex project financing and contributing to the structuring of future financing projects.
  • Conducting detailed financial modelling and risk analysis to support project financing decisions.
  • Implementing hedging strategies to manage the company's exposure to interest rate, foreign exchange, commodity price, and other financial risks.
  • Preparing and presenting risk management reports to senior management, providing insights into the performance of hedging strategies.
  • Managing the company's liquidity to ensure adequate funding for ongoing operations and strategic initiatives, including large-scale projects.
  • Optimizing cash flow forecasting, working capital management, and short-term investment strategies.
  • Providing strategic input into the company's financial planning and analysis activities, particularly in relation to capital structure, financing strategies, and risk management.
  • Supporting M&A activities, including due diligence, financial modelling, and the evaluation of financing options.
  • Participating in strategic discussions with senior management to offer ongoing insights and recommendations.

As the role develops, you will also play a key role in recruiting and managing a small team.

We are seeking a top talent with a proven track record of success in the treasury field, a strong academic record, and relevant qualifications such as ACT.

Previous experience in project financing and financial modelling is essential, as well as strong systems skills, particularly with SAP.

We are looking for confident communicators who can hold their own with senior management and directors across the UK and wider international business.

Treasury experience gained within the oil and gas, mining, commodities, or construction industries would be ideal, but we welcome applications from high-flying treasury managers across all industries.
