Job Title: Digital Technology Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile individual to join our team at Step Ahead Recruitment Ltd. as a Digital Technology Specialist. This impactful role will span four key areas: business systems, software development, project/change management, and IT infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will spend 2-3 days per week working on-site in Lancing, collaborating with colleagues and end-users to deliver innovative technology solutions that enhance our use of technology across the business.

About the Role:
  • You will apply your broad technical expertise to lead projects, implement technology solutions, and provide insights to identify opportunities for system improvements and innovations.
Key Responsibilities:Business Systems Analysis & Support:
  • Support and administer business systems like Epicor (ERP) and Solarvista LIVE (Field Service Management).
  • Develop and maintain custom software solutions, including Azure Logic Apps and code in C#, Python, and JavaScript to integrate systems and automate processes.
  • Provide first-line support for around 100 users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
  • Experience with ERP systems, preferably in Inventory Management, Order Management, Accounting, and Manufacturing.
Project Management & Collaboration:
  • Lead or contribute to IT and business system projects, ensuring they meet business needs and are delivered on time.
  • Communicate the potential of new technologies and generate enthusiasm for new ways of working.
  • Produce high-quality documentation for IT systems and processes.
  • Strong relationship-building skills, able to explain technical concepts clearly, and get teams on board with changes.
IT Infrastructure Management:
  • Assist in managing the company's IT infrastructure, including servers, VMWare, networking, backups, and cloud services (Azure/Office 365).
  • Ensure data security and continuity with regular backups (Veeam) and disaster recovery planning.
  • Strong knowledge of standard IT infrastructure and systems used in medium-sized companies, including servers, networking, cloud services, and data security practices.

Requirements:

  • Proficient in software development, with experience in C#, Python, JavaScript, or PowerShell.
  • Experience in web development, preferably with Umbraco/ASP.NET.
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to analyze business processes and identify technology-based improvements.

Estimated Salary: £65,000 - £85,000 per annum
