Job Summary:

The Recruitment Co. is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Recycling Educator to join our team as a Waste Management Specialist. As a key member of our Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality team, you will be responsible for delivering behavioral change projects, education, and awareness campaigns across the locality, and supporting the environmental development of operational services in the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement small to medium-sized behavioral change projects to promote recycling and waste reduction practices.
  • Design and deliver educational programs and workshops to engage local communities and promote environmental awareness.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and implement waste reduction strategies and initiatives.
  • Conduct research and analysis to identify areas for improvement and develop data-driven solutions.
  • Produce and analyze reports using MS Excel to track progress and measure the effectiveness of initiatives.
  • Travel frequently across the North Somerset area to deliver programs and engage with local communities.

Requirements:

  • Passion for environmental issues and a strong commitment to sustainability.
  • Demonstrable experience in an educational, environmental, or communications-based role, with a proven track record of influencing outcomes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including presentation delivery.
  • Negotiation skills and the ability to persuade a wide range of audiences to adopt environmentally friendly behaviors.
  • Aptitude for research, data collection, and action planning.
  • Experience with MS Excel and report production.
  • A full driving license and flexible working approach.
