About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to work with a dynamic team that is committed to providing support to young people who are in care and those who are on the cusp of leaving care. As a Lifelong Links Coordinator, you will be responsible for delivering focused interventions that help young people connect with the people who can make a positive difference in their lives.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Work directly with children and young people to help them build connections with their families and caregivers.
  2. Provide specialist consultation and support to Social Workers to create long-term plans for young people using our service.
  3. Work across two boroughs, visiting children and young people in their home or community environments.
  4. Provide training to foster carers and work with teams within Family Services to promote the value of Lifelong Links.
About You

We are looking for an experienced professional with a good knowledge of childcare legislation and policies. You will need to have an FGC Accredited Training and Qualification in a relevant field such as social work, health, teaching, youth or community work. A comprehensive knowledge of the issues faced by young people who are living in care and unaccompanied minors is essential. You will also need to have exceptional communication skills and the ability to build relationships quickly.
