Job Title: Deputy Head of Year

Location: Tower Hamlets, London

Salary Range: £150 per day

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and proactive Deputy Head of Year to join a secondary school in Tower Hamlets. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a pastoral or student support role within a school environment.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and engage with students, helping to maintain a positive and supportive environment.
  • Contribute to the delivery of various pastoral activities, ensuring students receive the necessary support for their academic and personal development.
  • Use SIMS effectively to track student data and monitor academic progress.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of year group events and initiatives.
  • Work closely with teaching and support staff to promote student well-being and create a positive learning atmosphere.

Requirements:

  • Experience working in a pastoral or student support role within a school environment.
  • Ability to manage and support students across two year groups, helping them thrive academically and personally.
  • Enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
