About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Vice President - Commercial Strategy to lead our commercial initiatives in Ophthalmology. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of healthcare systems, regulations, and payer dynamics.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive commercial strategies, leading market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive positioning, and building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders and the NHS.

In addition, the Senior Vice President - Commercial Strategy will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance product offerings and drive sales initiatives, oversee marketing strategies, ensuring alignment with brand messaging and customer needs, and monitor and analyse sales performance metrics, providing actionable insights to optimise growth.

Key responsibilities include managing and mentoring a team of commercial professionals, fostering a culture of high performance and accountability, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and ethical standards in all commercial activities.

Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial leadership roles within the healthcare industry
  • Experience working with the NHS and managing NHS contracts
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth and market expansion
  • Strong understanding of healthcare systems, regulations, and payer dynamics
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Ability to analyse complex data and make informed strategic decisions
  • Having experience in Gastroenterology would be ideal but not essential
  • Experience leading and developing high-performing teams
