The salary for this role is comprised of a basic salary of £42,232, which will increase annually until reaching the top of the scale at £50,385. Additionally, a location allowance of £1,841 and a non-pensionable allowance of £1,000 are included.

About the Role

The Compliance and Assurance Pillar is a department within the Counter Terrorism Policing Headquarters (CTPHQ), supporting the CT Policing Network, Specialist Operations business groups within the Metropolitan Police Service (MPS), and pillars within CTPHQ.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide expert advice and guidance on all matters related to data protection compliance across the Business groups.
  2. Promote best practice and ensure a consistent approach to data protection compliance across the Business groups.
  3. Identify, advise, and support the development of all Data Sharing Agreements and Data Protection Impact Assessments between CT Policing and partners.
  4. Lead on the development and maintenance of information data risks.
  5. Manage the Data Compliance Boards and develop compliance across the CT Policing Network.
  6. Ensure policies, processes, and professional expertise to monitor, coordinate, and deliver business-related data protection issues.
  7. Create and maintain a library of CT Policing information sharing, including Data Sharing Agreements (DSA), Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIA), and Memorandum of Understandings (MoU).
  8. Ensure compliance by installing regular reviews of shared information.
Requirements

The role holder will provide expert advice and guidance on all matters related to the exchange of information in accordance with data protection legislation. They will support the Head of Information Compliance to ensure that policies, processes, and practices are in place to provide CTP senior managers and MPS 'SO' CT Commands with the necessary framework and professional expertise to monitor, coordinate, and deliver business-related Information governance responses throughout CT and protective security policing.

This post requires access to the most sensitive intelligence material on a daily basis. However, in the event that potential conflicts of interest cannot be managed, the post holder will not be able to see the intelligence material and will not be able to perform their duties. For the purpose of safeguarding national security and in line with Cabinet Office Policy, supported by Section 82(2) to (4) of the Police Reform Act (2002), applicants who do not hold or acquire Security Check (enhanced) (SC(e)) OR Developed Vetting (DV) clearance and meet the nationality requirements cannot be offered the post.
