About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Delivery Lead to join our team at the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of our technology infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead a Team of Engineers: You will be responsible for leading a team of engineers in designing, building, and maintaining high-performance, high-availability, and high-capacity platforms for front-to-back trading systems.
  2. Drive Decision-Making with Data: You will use data to guide decision-making, developing or enhancing tools as necessary to collect it.
  3. Understand Market Rules and Regulations: You will understand market rules, regulations, exchange service offerings, and front-to-back business functions, and build systems to facilitate them.
Requirements
  1. Bachelor's or Master's Degree: You must have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent experience.
  2. Java Engineering Experience: You must have hands-on Java engineering experience with 5+ years of experience in developing Java systems.
  3. Leadership Experience: You must have a proven track record of leading a team and delivering projects with a commercial mindset.
  4. Event Sourcing and Data Distribution: You must have prior experience with Event Sourcing (Kafka, Akka, Spark) and Data Distribution-based architecture.
  5. NoSQL and Relational Data Stores: You must have experience with NoSQL (Mongo, Elastic, Hadoop), in-memory (MEMSQL, Ignite), and relational (Sybase, DB2, SybaseIQ) data store solutions.
  6. Data Structures and Algorithms: You must have strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.
  7. Data-Driven Performance Analysis: You must have experience in data-driven performance analysis and optimizations.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Kubernetes Deployment Architectures: You must have experience with Kubernetes deployment architectures.
  2. Apache NiFi Experience: You must have experience with Apache NiFi.
  3. Trading Controls Experience: You must have experience building trading controls within an investment bank.
