Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Unified Communications Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support and coordination for live and hybrid events, conducting regular room checks, and performing preventative maintenance on AV/UC equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Event Support
    • Provide technical support and coordination for live and hybrid events, ensuring flawless execution.
  • AV/UC Maintenance
    • Conduct regular room checks and perform preventative maintenance on AV/UC equipment, escalating any issues as required.
  • Technical Support
    • Explore, test, and implement new Unified Communications solutions.
    • Assist with project work related to IT and AV services.
    • Operate a range of equipment, including movie projectors, slide projectors, microphones, Polycom, Crestron, Raspberry Pi devices, and more—while also training others in their use.
    • Troubleshoot a broad range of IT and AV issues, providing timely solutions to meet user needs.
  • Inventory Management
    • Manage the inventory of IT and AV equipment, ensuring everything is organised and up to date.
  • Procurement and Storage
    • Handle procurement, distribution, and storage of audio-visual materials.

Requirements

  • Technical Skills
    • Strong troubleshooting skills in IT, AV, and Unified Communications (UC) systems.
    • Experience with Microsoft Teams management, including Teams Rooms and basic user management.
  • Soft Skills
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a customer-focused approach.
    • Calm under pressure, able to resolve issues in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.
