Job Title: Education Support Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Education Support Specialist to join our team at Wayman Education. As an Education Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting students with their academic and personal development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Mentor and guide students in their behavioural development
  • Assist students with SEN to set and achieve personal and educational targets
  • Engage and assist with various learning activities and programs
  • Implement strategies to manage and de-escalate challenging behaviours
  • Be a positive role model, helping students build confidence and self-esteem
  • Work closely with teachers, parents and other learning mentors to create a comprehensive support network for each student

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working as a Behaviour or Learning Mentor is preferred
  • Experience in SEN, challenging behaviour, coaching, or youth work is also highly desirable
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting welfare of young people
  • Empathetic, patient, and resilient nature
