Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated Biological Tissue Analyst to join our team at North Metro Knoxville Medical. This is a full-time day shift position with an estimated salary range of $45,000 - $65,000 per year.

About the Position:

The Biological Tissue Analyst will be responsible for analyzing biological tissues, preparing and staining specimens, and performing related service duties.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyzing biological tissues to determine the presence of disease or other abnormalities.
  • Preparing and staining specimens of human body tissue so all structure detail or substance will be visible for evaluation by Pathologist, under general supervision and according to established policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Preparing solutions, performing special mountings and stains, and performing related service duties.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience: One (1) year preferred.
  • Licenses/Certificates: Licensed by the State of Alabama as Histology Technician (TS) required or Histology Technologist (TN) preferred.
  • Bachelors or better in Biology or related field.
