Main Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Performing clinical examinations of patients to assess, diagnose, and monitor conditions
- Covering on-call duties
- Carrying out patient consultations within the surgery
- Monitoring patients' conditions and wellbeing
- Carrying out home visits where necessary
- Diagnosing and treating various illnesses/ailments
- Liaising with other healthcare professionals as part of multidisciplinary teams
- Undertaking all general duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care
We are based in Brierley Hill Health And Social Care Centre in the heart of Brierley Hill, Dudley. Our practice team includes 4 GP partners, 1 Nurse, 1 HCA, 2 PA's, 1 Midwife, 1 First Contact Physio, and highly trained admin and reception teams. We have an additional clinical team working within the practice as part of the primary care network, including Listening and Guidance, Podiatrist, Dietician, Pharmacists, and Mental Health Nurse.
We support the training of medical students from all clinical backgrounds and have excellent relations with our neighbouring practices. We are part of a 7 Practice successful Primary Care Network.
Person SpecificationThe ideal candidate will have:
- Qualified GP
- MRCGP
- Full GMC Registration
- National Performers List Registration
- Appropriate defence indemnity (MDU/MPS)
- Eligibility to practice in the UK
- Experience of working in a primary care environment
- General understanding of GMS/PMS contract
- Experience of continued professional development
- Outstanding level of clinical knowledge and skills commensurate with that of an experienced GP
The successful candidate will also have excellent communication skills, strong IT skills, and a clear, polite telephone manner. They will be flexible, cooperative, motivated, and forward-thinking, with high levels of integrity and loyalty. They will also be able to work under pressure, as part of a team, and autonomously, with excellent interpersonal skills and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
