Mechanical Engineer - Mars Wrigley

Join our team of skilled mechanical engineers at Mars Wrigley, a leading manufacturer of confectionery products. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will play a critical role in maintaining the efficiency and reliability of our manufacturing equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine mechanical problem-solving on process and packaging equipment
  • Conduct preventative maintenance on various manufacturing and packaging equipment
  • Support Operations in equipment setup and training of operators in Autonomous Maintenance (AM) activities
  • Document Work Orders (WO) using SAP-PPM Plant Maintenance logging and completing maintenance activities on a daily basis
  • Participate in Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) Theory and Concepts through participation in Pillar Teams
  • Train fellow Technicians/Operators in Autonomous Maintenance (AM) activities to include conducting Breakdown Analysis (BDA's)
  • Understand and adhere to Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO) Procedures, Confined Space Procedures, and all other Plant Safety/Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) requirements related to supporting machinery uptime
  • Complete risk assessment/permit to work and formulate method statements to assist in safe undertaking of any activity
Requirements:
  • Suitably qualified in an engineering discipline supported by relevant experience
  • Ability to troubleshoot basic pneumatic and mechanical drive systems at the component level on all assigned equipment
  • Willingness to develop required technical skills in welding, basic machinist, and fabrication skill sets
