About This Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team at Allina Health.

Job Summary

This is a full-time position that will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in the cardiology department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cardiology and be able to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to determine diagnosis and treatment plans.
  • Order and interpret medical diagnostics, working closely with attending physicians to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatments.
  • Prescribe medications, treatments, and medical equipment as necessary to promote patient health and well-being.
  • Provide patient education on managing chronic illnesses and wellness care.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.

Requirements

  • Masters degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program or Physician Assistant program required.
  • Current certification as a Physician Assistant (NCCPA) or Certified Nurse Practitioner (ANCC or AANP) required upon hire.
  • Active Minnesota NP/PA license (or ability to obtain) required.
  • BLS certification within 180 days of hire.
  • Able to obtain and/or maintain MN DEA certification and National Provider Identifier (NPI).

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position is estimated to be around $120,000 - $150,000 per year, based on location and experience.
