Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Building Surveyor to join our team at Macro. As a Building Surveyor, you will be responsible for conducting inspections and assessments of properties to ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting inspections and assessments of properties to ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Providing feasibility studies and design solutions for building maintenance and minor works projects to ensure a seamless delivery.
  • Carrying out this role and the duties required under NEC and JCT forms of contract.
  • Ensuring appropriate systems and procedures are in place to effectively manage and control the delivery standards, inform and control budgets, forecast programming, and undertake planning.
  • Undertaking surveys, design, and specification services.
  • Respecting and helping to deliver services in accordance with best practice (and all legislation) in relation to asbestos, health, and safety.
  • Preparing a timely and effective post-contract administration and final account agreement.
  • Interfacing with the client and other consultants at all project stages.
  • Ensuring that key information and learning generated from each commission is input into the internal database.
  • Assisting with new technology for data capture and reporting.
  • Ability to apply project management principles and techniques to manage a range of projects through to completion.
