The Role: Therapeutic Support Worker

We are currently seeking compassionate and dedicated Therapeutic Support Workers to join our team at a residential home for young males aged 13-18 years. Located in rural areas within Surrey and West Sussex, our homes provide a safe and nurturing environment where young people can overcome past traumas and work towards a brighter future.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Create a positive and supportive atmosphere tailored to the individual needs of each young person.
  • Plan and facilitate engaging activities that promote learning, personal growth, and social integration.
  • Maintain accurate records of progress and achievements, ensuring compliance with relevant guidelines and legislation.
  • Collaborate effectively with other professionals, including caregivers, therapists, and educational staff, to ensure a holistic approach to care.

Your Skills and Experience:

  • A genuine passion for working with young people and a commitment to their well-being.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to build strong relationships with residents, colleagues, and external partners.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of each individual in a dynamic environment.
  • A valid driving license is essential due to the rural location of our homes.
  • An NVQ Level 3 qualification in a relevant field is advantageous but not mandatory.
