Job Title: Art Teacher

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Art Teacher to join our team at a Secondary school in Southend. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Art to students in KS3/4, with a focus on providing engaging and challenging lessons that inspire students to learn.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver creative and effective Art lessons to students
  • Create lesson plans, assessments, and assignments that align with the curriculum
  • Monitor and track student progress and provide regular feedback to students and parents
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports learning and student well-being
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development opportunities, and other school-related activities

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Art or related field
  • Hold QTS
  • Experience teaching Art to students in KS3/4
  • Strong knowledge of the curriculum and pedagogy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team

About the Role:

This is a full-time Art Teacher position, covering and supporting the Art Department from November 2024. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Art to students in KS3/4, with a focus on providing engaging and challenging lessons that inspire students to learn.
