Precision Castings Specialist

We are seeking a versatile individual with a strong interest in entering the field of automotive and aerospace engineering. A259 Recruitment, a specialist manufacturer of precision sand cast aluminium and steel castings for the automotive and motorsport engineering industry, is looking for a skilled candidate to fill this role.

• Foundry Operator/Moulder:
  • Processing sand moulds and cores for the production of automotive and aerospace castings, involving creative tasks and working with materials like aluminium and magnesium alloys heated to 750 degrees.
  • Metal pouring into sand moulds within the foundry, with full training provided.
  • Health and safety protocols, with protective overalls supplied.
• CORE Department:
  • Sand filling operation, sand plugging, and working with 3D shapes (sand moulds), requiring concentration and attention to detail.
• Foundry Labourer:
  • Manual removal of sand moulds with care and precision, assisting with metal pouring in the foundry, with full training provided.
  • Physically demanding manual work, with experience in a heavy industrial environment an advantage.
  • Forklift license desirable.
• Grinding & Finishing Department - Fettler:
  • Variety of tasks using electric hand tools and abrasive machinery in producing cast metal products, finishing/dressing metal products.
