Job Title: Class 1 Night Trunk Driver

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Class 1 Night Trunk Driver to join our team at Gregory Distribution.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for trunking from Ernesettle to pallet network hubs in the West Midlands and reload back to Ernesettle. This will involve loading and unloading of vehicles, ensuring load security, and completing daily vehicle checks on company phones.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Trunking from Ernesettle to pallet network hubs in the West Midlands and reload back to Ernesettle.
  • Loading and unloading of vehicles, ensuring load security.
  • Completing daily vehicle checks on company phones.
  • Working closely with network hubs to ensure efficient logistics.
  • Managing customer expectations and providing excellent customer service.
  • Attending regular training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
  • UK Class 1 (CE) Driving Licence.
  • Current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
  • Experience of curtain-side trailers is preferred but not essential.
  • Passionate about providing excellent customer service.
  • Ability to work to deadlines and manage time effectively.
  • Confident, polite, and a team player.
  • Good geographical knowledge.
Benefits:
  • Salary: £38,546pa - £42,714pa (includes shift allowance of £20.00 per shift for any shifts starting between 15:00hrs and 02:00hrs).
  • Hours of work: Monday - Friday, 48 hours per week, shifts starting between 18:00hrs - 21:00hrs.
