Job Title: Foundry Moulder / Core Maker
About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Foundry Moulder / Core Maker to join our team at Sheffield Forgemasters Engineering Ltd. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for planning and producing cores and moulds safely, following standardized methods and process drawings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce cores up to 60 tonnes using staples, bars, rails, and lifters.
- Produce moulds up to 650 tonnes in boxes or pits, adhering to SFEL best practices and ensuring they are paint-ready for casting.
- Perform basic slinging duties and be involved in the casting process.
- Maintain high standards of health and safety, adhering to guidelines and regulations.
- Contribute to housekeeping duties to ensure a clean and organized work environment.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- Apprentice-trained Moulder / Core Maker experience.
- Previous experience working as a Moulder / Core Maker.
- Ability to read and understand engineering method drawings.
- Previous experience working in a Foundry environment.
- Comfortable working at heights and in a hot environment.
- Ability to maintain a high level of health and safety awareness.
Working Conditions:
This role involves working 37.5 hours per week, with morning and afternoon shifts. You will be based at our 64-acre site in Sheffield, with access to free on-site parking and other benefits.
