Edinburgh, Edinburgh, United Kingdom Enable Full time

About the Role

Enable is a dynamic and vibrant organisation dedicated to improving the lives of people with learning disabilities. We are looking for a dedicated and understanding Personal Assistant to join Emily's team and support her to live her best life.

As a Personal Assistant, you will have the most important role within Enable, making a positive difference every day to the lives of the people we support. No two days are the same, but what we can guarantee is that you will be supporting someone with a learning disability to achieve their goals and outcomes.

Emily lives in her own flat and enjoys being outdoors, going for walks, and being active. She loves to swim regularly and attend Riding for the Disabled lessons. She also enjoys visiting local attractions, listening to music, and watching movies with staff.

We are looking for someone who is dedicated, understands Emily's needs, and is committed to supporting her to achieve her goals. If you share Emily's interests and have the commitment and dedication to support her to get the most out of life, then please apply now.

Enable is an equal opportunities employer and our recruitment, selection, and assessment process is based entirely on values, skills, and competencies required of the specific roles.

We provide an extensive learning programme and in-house career development opportunities, including Person Centred approaches, planning, and thinking, Introduction to autism, Epilepsy awareness, Moving and Handling, Adult support and protection, Child support and protection, First Aid, and Positive Behaviour Support.

We also have an excellent range of staff benefits, including Health cash plans, Employee Assistance Programme, Cycle to Work Scheme, and Season Ticket Loans.

Starting a career with Enable is the first step towards making a real difference in our award-winning charity's mission to help create an equal society for every person who has a learning disability.

The successful applicant will be required to register with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) within 3 months of their start date.
