The Company: Interaction Recruitment has partnered with a leading manufacturer of Agricultural Engineering Equipment to support the growth of their engineering team. Due to the growth of the business, our client is now looking to add skilled Plant and Agricultural field service engineers to their rapidly expanding team to maintain, repair and service an array of Agricultural machinery.

  1. 32 days holiday including bank holidays - increasing with service
  2. Overtime available at 1.5X midweek, x2 on Sundays and Bank Holidays
  3. Holiday overtime pay - paid in May (£1,500 paid last year)
  4. Ongoing commitment to training and progression

The Job Responsibilities:

  1. Accurately diagnosing faults, servicing and carrying out emergency repairs/breakdowns on agricultural machinery (tractors, combiners, Balers etc)
  2. Travel to customer sites to ensure all machinery is maintained and repaired to the highest quality.
  3. Carry out diagnostics to diagnose mechanical and electrical faults on agricultural and horticultural machinery
  4. The ability to work independently within the customer sites and collaborate with colleagues to ensure documentation and the perfect solution is offered.
  5. Working on engines, batteries and hydraulics, alongside mechanical and electrical fault finding and repairs.

The Requirements:

  1. Previous experience working with hydraulics, alongside mechanical and electrical capabilities (essential)
  2. Previous experience working within the Agricultural industry (essential)
  3. Electrical and/or Mechanical fault finding, repair & service experience (advantageous)
  4. Experience working with engines and batteries (advantageous)
  5. Relevant qualifications NVQ or City and Guilds in mechanical/electrical engineering (advantageous)
  6. Full UK Drivers License

About the Role: As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing agricultural machinery to the highest standards. You will work independently and as part of a team to ensure that all machinery is serviced and repaired efficiently. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with hydraulics, mechanical and electrical systems, and will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
