Wildcat Helicopter Maintenance Supervisor Opportunity

Morson Technical Services is seeking a skilled Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor to join their team at RNAS Yeovilton. As a key member of the Wildcat Base Maintenance team, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance of a fleet of Army and Navy Wildcat Helicopters.

About the Role

You will be responsible for ensuring that all maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with published procedures and instructions. This will include supervising technicians and apprentices, maintaining technical currency and authorisation, and participating in exercise detachments and aircraft recovery operations as required.

Main Activities and Tasks

  1. Hold authorisations to the minimum level required by WMS, including second signature within own trade group.
  2. Maintain technical currency and authorisation through training and reading disseminated information.
  3. Carry out aircraft maintenance within trade, as tasked by controllers.
  4. Supervise technicians and apprentices.
  5. Operate and maintain AGE and Hangar facilities.
  6. Prepare aircraft for road or air transportation.
  7. Participate in exercise detachments and aircraft recovery operations.
  8. Carry out independent inspections where authorised.

Requirements

  1. Served an aeronautical engineering apprenticeship or Service equivalent Trade Training.
  2. Thorough knowledge of UK Military Aircraft documentation procedures.
  3. Possible banding allowance of £1000 per annum.
  4. Discretionary bonus based on team KPI achievements.
  5. Holiday entitlement and company pension scheme.
