Job Title: Accounts Supervisor

Reed is seeking an experienced Accounts Supervisor to join our team on a part-time permanent basis. As an Accounts Supervisor, you will be responsible for assisting the Finance Director with accounting and office management duties, supervising a team of three staff members, and providing cover when required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Accounts Support: Assist with accounting transactions, supervise three staff members, and provide holiday cover for key tasks.
  • Office Management: Support directors with office management tasks, including bank administration, credit card administration, and fixed assets management.
  • Financial Reporting: Produce monthly financial reports for board meetings and Employee Ownership Trust meetings.
  • Administration: Administer pensions, complete VAT returns, and provide cover in the accounts as required.
  • Ad Hoc Projects: Assist the Finance Director with ad hoc projects, such as reviewing online payment systems and investigating VAT reclaims on expenses.
Requirements:
  • Staff Management: Proven experience in staff management and supervision.
  • Accounting and Finance: Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles and double entry, proficiency in accounting software, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Organizational and Time Management Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
