Dental Nurse Position

About the Role
Cumbria Health is seeking a skilled Dental Nurse to join our team at the Urgent Dental Access Centre in Carlisle. As a key member of our dental team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support our dentists in all procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist in organising the day's activities and monitoring the appointment diary.
- Prepare the surgery for use at the beginning of each session and clear up at the end of the session.
- Anticipate the dental operator's requirements and assist in a broad range of clinical procedures.
- Provide pre- and post-operative instructions for patients and maintain hand pieces, aspirators, and other equipment.
- Process radiographs and arrange for the timely supply of materials and laboratory work.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with patients and colleagues, using appropriate terminology and maintaining confidentiality.
Requirements
- Dental Nurse Qualification and GDC registration.
- Experience of working in a dental team, general practice, or hospital, providing chair-side duties.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, with good organisation and communication skills.
- Commitment to personal and professional development, with a focus on lifelong learning and evidence-based practice.
