Job Summary:

Advance Training & Recruitment Services is seeking a highly skilled Senior Civil Engineer to join our team. As a Senior Drainage Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering innovative design solutions for infrastructure projects, while exceeding client expectations.

The role involves providing specialist knowledge in drainage and highway design, including 3D surface modelling and hydraulic drainage design. You will work closely with clients, contractors, and local authorities to ensure designs meet their needs and exceed expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Represent the company in meetings with clients, contractors, and local authorities.
  • Ensure designs comply with S278/S38 highway schemes and S104/S106/S185 drainage approvals.
  • Assist with the preparation of Flood Risk Assessments.
  • Deliver technical support, manage design interfaces, and conduct Design Risk Assessments.
  • Support the tendering process by reviewing client ITTs and developing design strategies.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Civil Engineering, with Chartered status or actively working towards it.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in drainage and highways design.
  • Proficient in the use of relevant software, such as CAD and MicroDrainage.
  • Previous experience in a consultancy environment, ideally within infrastructure sectors such as rail or power.

Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum (dependent on experience).
