Electron Beam Welder Job Description

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly experienced and trained Electron Beam Weld Operator to join our client's team in Nottinghamshire. The successful candidate will have a time-served apprenticeship qualification and a strong background in automated electron beam welding and manual TIG welding.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Operate automated electron beam welding equipment in a high-volume manufacturing cell
* Perform manual TIG welding tasks as required
* Maintain a clean and safe working environment
* Work effectively as part of a team and on own initiative
* Meet performance targets and deadlines

**Requirements:**

* Time-served apprenticeship qualification in welding
* Proven experience in automated electron beam welding and manual TIG welding
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends

**Working Hours:**

The machining area operates on a 3-shift pattern, Monday to Friday. The shifts are:

* Mornings: 06:00 - 14:12
* Afters: 13:48 - 21:30 (Friday finish at 19:00)
* Nights: 21:00 - 06:15 (4 shifts Monday to Thursday)

Contract to cover 37 hours per week.
