We are seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Cardiff, where you will contribute to pre- and post-contract quantity surveying services in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities of a Quantity Surveyor- Provide commercial management and cost assurance services on infrastructure projects, working closely with integrated teams.
- Collect, analyze, and report cost data, identifying and addressing inconsistencies, errors, or omissions as necessary.
- Conduct measurements and prepare bills of quantities, adhering to sector-specific measurement standards (e.g., CESMM, MMHW, RMM) and developing detailed preamble notes, codifying work items, and aligning them with cost breakdown structures.
- Prepare estimates and comprehensive cost reports.
- Support the production of tender documents and assist in the tendering process.
- Attend client meetings, present findings, gather feedback, and recommend improvements.
- Work on infrastructure projects in Rail and Highways, utilizing NEC3/4 contract forms and possessing strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Manage multiple workstreams, prioritize tasks, and maintain meticulous attention to detail.
- Collaborate with diverse stakeholders, possessing strong team-working skills and experience in commercial management, cost assurance, measurement, and estimating.
- Hold a relevant degree (minimum 2:1 or equivalent) and commit to pursuing professional membership (e.g., RICS or CICES), if not already held.
- Possess relevant experience in a similar role, with a focus on commercial management, cost assurance, measurement, and estimating on infrastructure projects.
