Overview

The ideal candidate will have experience working with a variety of paints, varnishes, and lacquers. This role involves internal spraying of luxury sailing yachts, preparing surfaces for finishing, filling, masking, and sanding timber and GRP with different grit wet or dry paper using orbital sanders. The successful candidate must be able to hand apply finishes on solid and veneered timber products using water-based lacquers, paints, and hard wax oils. Additional responsibilities include occasional spraying on timber and GRP using Polyurethane and Epoxy paint systems, and carrying out smart repairs as necessary using the Konig smart repair system.

Salary
This is a permanent or contract position offering up to £16.50 per hour.

About the Role
This exciting opportunity is based in Hythe and requires the ability to commute daily. The candidate must also be willing to work outside of business hours to complete tasks efficiently.

Requirements
A NVQ Level 3 qualification in a relevant field or equivalent experience is required. Marine experience is highly desirable, while furniture spraying experience is essential. Applicants must be able to provide their own transportation to Hythe and work independently or as part of a team.
