About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Mental Health Specialist, working closely with advocates to provide expert advice and support to service users experiencing mental health crisis or complex needs. As a key member of our Modern Slavery Response Team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the delivery of excellent quality services and strong contractual and organizational compliance.
Key responsibilities will include providing specialist knowledge to advocates supporting service users with complex issues or those in crisis, liaising with statutory stakeholders and other voluntary sector providers to promote multi-agency working and support service users through crisis. You will also facilitate weekly clinics to provide advocates with expert advice to manage their complex cases and provide strategic oversight.
RequirementsWe are looking for a highly skilled and dedicated individual with practical knowledge of issues affecting those individuals with a range of mental health conditions, including crisis management and communication skills. You will also have an understanding of relevant Mental Health legislation and safeguarding practices, as well as experience of staff coaching and delivering training.
In addition, you will have experience of supporting vulnerable people and demonstrate knowledge and understanding of safeguarding issues and ability to address them appropriately. You will also be solution-focused and proactive in achieving high-quality client work and results in a fast-paced and outcome-focused environment.
