The Electronics Technology Lead role is a key part of the Cross-Functional Technology team at Videojet Technologies, driving innovation in inkjet and vision systems. This team is responsible for developing new concepts and progressing them sufficiently to be included in new products.

The successful candidate will create innovative solutions to customer problems and investigate opportunities to enhance current inkjet products. This is a full-time on-site role based in Huntingdon, UK.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing electronics, firmware, and software to support the development of new technologies.
  • Root cause analysis and resolution of complex multi-domain issues of prototype systems.
  • Documentation of designs and test results for handover to new product development.

Requirements for the role include:

  • Significant electronic design experience.
  • Analogue electronic design skills, including discrete and interfacing to sensors and transducers.
  • Digital electronic design skills, including microcontroller, microprocessor, CPLD, and FPGA.
  • Design verification and functional test software development skills, including C/C++, Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and simple GUI.
  • Self-starter with a sense of urgency and motivation by achievement.
  • Problem-solving skills with data-driven analysis and conclusion.
  • Able to express technical matters orally and in writing.
  • Teamwork within a multi-functional technology team.

Previous experience in electrostatics and fluid systems is a benefit.
