Aberdeenshire Council is currently recruiting for a Desktop and Systems Support Specialist to join our IT team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing technical support for desktop software and hardware, as well as systems and applications software.

You will work closely with our IT Service Desk team to ensure seamless delivery of IT services and develop strong relationships with colleagues and customers.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in the world of work while pursuing a formal qualification. To be eligible, you must have achieved 3 Scottish National 4 or 5 qualifications or equivalent.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support for desktop software and hardware, as well as systems and applications software
  • Work on the IT Service Desk, providing phone, webchat, and local site support
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with colleagues and customers

Requirements:

  • Scottish National 4 or 5 qualifications or equivalent
  • Age 16-19 (with some exceptions)
  • PVG Scheme membership or update check
  • Overseas Criminal Record Check (if applicable)
