About the Job

The role of Catering Supervisor is a crucial part of our team at Lancashire County Council. As a Catering Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the operational control of our service points, ensuring that all team members are working safely and effectively. This includes menu planning, stock control, and catering for large numbers of residents.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Proven experience in menu planning and stock control
  • Demonstrated ability to cater for large numbers
  • Experience in supervising staff within a kitchen environment
  • Knowledge of food costing and stock control
  • Understanding of specialised diets and basic nutritional needs
  • Awareness of basic hygiene and Health & Safety requirements
  • Proficiency in the correct use of kitchen equipment and utensils

Working Hours

The rota for this role is working Friday (3hrs), Saturday, and Sunday, with hourly pay enhancements for Saturday and Sunday shifts. This is a part-time position, and the salary quoted is full-time equivalent, paid on a pro-rata basis.
