Role Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Development Engineer in Test III to join our team at Entain. As a key member of our squad, you will be responsible for spearheading end-to-end testing initiatives for medium complexity features within your specialized technical domain.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, deploy, and maintain test automation features of medium complexity.
  • Enhance the test automation experience at Entain through improvements in tools, scripts, test coverage, and code structure.
  • Proficiently debug application bugs, facilitating developers in identifying root causes, and train SDITs to follow the same process.
  • Streamline efficiency by automating recurring manual tasks, contributing to personal and squad productivity.
  • Create concise, comprehensive, and detailed test plans for your squad's development work.
  • Consistently manage timely testing and delivery of your tasks, especially in manual testing.
  • Possess an in-depth understanding of at least one programming language and framework.
  • Demonstrate a solid grasp of computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.
  • Actively engage in product discussions and contribute to refining acceptance criteria.
  • Attain a reasonable level of product knowledge and comprehend the technical architecture of your product.
  • Assume responsibility for the entire lifecycle of your stories, spanning development, testing, production, and subsequent fixes and enhancements.
  • Collaborate with other stakeholders to clarify requirements for the story you are currently working on.
  • Reviews test cases and test plans authored by SDITs and peers.
  • Reduce self-dependency by creating concise documentation for stories and features upon delivery.
  • Conduct code reviews in alignment with the engineering handbook standards, which are considered valuable by your team.
  • Collaborate effectively with fellow engineers, designers, and QEs to elucidate implementation details following established squad patterns.
  • Internalize Entain values and integrate them seamlessly into your day-to-day interactions.
  • Take the lead in the interview process by partnering with senior engineers.
  • Provide mentoring to SDIT2 colleagues, assisting them in managing their deliveries through code review.
  • Lead the onboarding process for SDIT2 and SDIT3 engineers joining your squad.
  • Illustrate and elucidate software architecture concepts to benefit the squad.

Qualifications

  • Advance in Test Management, the process of managing the testing activities to ensure high quality and high-end testing of the software.
  • Advance in Test Strategy, an outline that describes the testing approach of the software development cycle.
  • Advance in Test designing, can analyze potential impact of feature across software, hardware.
  • Advance in the creation of Test Automation Frameworks, a set of components that facilitate executing tests and comprehensive reporting of test results.
  • Advanced level of User Acceptance Testing, the last phase of the software testing process carried out by the user or client to determine whether it can be accepted or not.
  • Advance in IT Risk Management, the policies, procedures, and technologies that a company uses to mitigate threats from malicious actors and reduce information technology vulnerabilities.
  • Advance in Troubleshooting, systematic process of identifying, diagnosing, and resolving issues or problems that arise in various systems, devices, or processes.
  • Expertise in Linux command and DB queries.
  • Experience with cross browser testing and expertise in one of Cloud Device solutions like Browserstack and LambdaTest.
  • Advance Systems Testing, testing conducted on a complete integrated system to evaluate the system's compliance with its specified requirements.
  • Advance level in at least one of modern programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, C , Python etc.
  • Experienced in leading Testing of large project with multiple stakeholders and dependencies. Has experience in coordinating with tech and non tech teams to find ways to proceed testing.
  • Advance-level Project / Program Management, planning, organizing, and overseeing tasks, resources, and timelines to achieve specific objectives and deliver successful outcomes within a defined scope.
  • Advance Software Architecture and Design capabilities can understand software and hardware layer impacts of application. Understands end to end data flow.
  • Advance in Agile Testing, a software testing practice that follows the principles of agile software development.
  • Advance IT Security Management, the practice of safeguarding an organization's digital assets, data, and systems through strategic measures and protocols to prevent unauthorized access, breaches, and cyber threats.
