Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a secondary school in Blackpool. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with special educational needs, providing individualized support and assistance to help them reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support and assistance to pupils with special educational needs in a KS3 and KS4 classroom setting
  • Work closely with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized support plans
  • Assist with lesson planning and preparation, as well as implementing strategies to support pupil learning
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, teachers, and other staff members to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment

Requirements:

  • Experience working with pupils with special educational needs
  • Good behaviour management skills and ability to de-escalate conflicts
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
