Role Overview

We are seeking an exceptional Academic Educator to join our team at Dovetail & Slate. As an English Language Instructor, you will play a vital role in shaping the educational experience of our students.

Key Responsibilities

  • Uphold College policies and procedures, promoting those specifically applicable to this area of work, including Equality & Diversity.
  • Comply with Health & Safety policies and procedures and attend training as requested.
  • Comply with the college's own safeguarding policy and practices and attend training as requested.
  • Keep up to date, so far as necessary, for the efficient executing of the job, with new legislation, procedures and techniques and attend relevant mandatory training.
  • Attend CPD activities at the College and actively contribute to sessions, sharing best practice and openly learning from colleagues outstanding practice.
  • Be conversant with and participate in activities and developments at college, regional and national level which are relevant to the post.
  • Present and promote an appropriate public image in representing the college.
  • Work flexibly as directed by the line manager.
  • Travel as required for the role and to work flexibly outside of normal office hours in line with business need.
  • Undertake any other duties as may reasonably be required commensurate with the post.

  • Hold excellent English Qualifications.
  • Have a proven track record of impact.
  • Possess outstanding subject knowledge.
  • Strong communication skills and a genuine enthusiasm for education.
  • Commitment to promoting student welfare and fostering inclusivity.
  • Ability to teach up to AS/A-Level would be advantageous.
