The Opportunity
We are seeking a Senior Process Safety Engineer to support the demonstration of legislative compliance on FEED and EPC projects within our company. The successful candidate will be up to date with applicable British and International standards and best practices for process safety engineering.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the development of technical safety work scopes.
- Interface with other disciplines within a project office environment.
- Undertake safety evaluation and hazard analysis.
- Conduct consequence modelling using DNVGL PHAST.
- Assess hazardous areas in accordance with EI Part 15, BS EN 60079 part 10 & IGEM/SR/25.
- Produce high-quality engineering documents, including proposals, terms of reference, HAZOP reports, LOPA reports and safety assessment reports.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Engineering experience in the process industry (Oil & Gas &/or Chemical).
- Strong knowledge of process safety engineering principles and practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
