About the Role:

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our team at CV Library. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining all electrical equipment, machinery, and auxiliary instruments, ensuring minimum disruption to production and compliance with safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Carry out and record maintenance work on machines and equipment, ensuring compliance with electrical safety legislation.
  2. Comply with planned electrical maintenance schedules.
  3. Update electrical programmes and associated programmes to ensure that information is current.
  4. Conduct research into the development and implementation of new and existing equipment.
  5. Perform statutory inspection and testing procedures, and safety inspections as per the agreed schedule.
  6. Provide flexible support across all manufacturing departments, where safety and training allow.
  7. Maintain an understanding of electrical safety legislation and regulations and ensure compliance with both.
  8. Utilise logical fault-finding techniques to check through circuits, consulting with electrical drawings and using test equipment.
  9. Repair unit spares, including any spares required for the manufacturing process.

Requirements:

  1. Level 3 Apprenticeship (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or Mechatronic Engineering (with an electrical bias)
  2. Commitment to Health and Safety
  3. A 'can-do' attitude
  4. A drive for continuous improvement
