Job Description:

We are currently recruiting 7.5t home delivery drivers for a well-known client of ours, based in Rochester. This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a multi-national organization with the potential for growth and opportunities.

This role involves working with a drivers' mate to deliver large goods to residential properties. The type of goods you will be delivering are TVs, flat-pack furniture, gym equipment, white goods, etc.

Due to the weight of the products you are delivering, you MUST be physically fit. The company offers the customer a 'room of choice' delivery, and you will be fully trained on how to do this.

Upon successful application, all new drivers are subject to a driving assessment and multiple-choice highway code/tacho exam. This will then be followed by a subsequent induction day.

The company operates 7 days a week, and you will be offered a 5 or 6-day rota. Weekend work will be involved. Shift timings are 06.00 start, shifts last roughly 8-10 hours.

Pay rate - £17.22 per hour. After 12 weeks, you can be offered a contract directly with the company.

You must have a valid UK license, CPC, and Digitacho, no more than 6 points on your driving license. No DD, DR, or NI convictions.

  • Reliable and organized
  • Have good communication skills and a good level of customer service
  • Be fit and healthy and able to lift heavy goods
  • Have your own steel toe cap safety boots and a high-vis vest
