Job Title: Mental Health Practitioner Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mental Health Practitioner Supervisor to join our team at Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust. As a Mental Health Practitioner Supervisor, you will play a key role in providing evidence-based interventions for mild to moderate mental health issues in children and young people.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide assessments and deliver low-intensity group and individual interventions to children and young people with mild to moderate anxiety, depression, and/or behavioural difficulties.
  • Work closely with school staff to support children, their families, and staff to foster a whole-school approach to mental well-being.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide timely advice and support to schools and colleges.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external specialist services to ensure children and young people receive the right support.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Education Mental Health Practitioner (EMHP) or Children and Young People Wellbeing Practitioner (CYP WP) or qualified and registered Mental Health Nurse, Occupational Therapist, or Social Worker with previous consolidated postgraduate experience of working with young people with emotional and mental health issues.
  • Experience in delivering evidence-based CBT interventions for mild to moderate mental health issues to children and young people.
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing circumstances.
