Internal Auditor Role

As an Internal Auditor at Chapman Tate Associates, you will play a vital role in ensuring the integrity and effectiveness of our financial reporting and internal controls. You will assist in the execution of the annual audit plan, contribute to the Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) program, and perform operational testing and financial audits.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Assist in the execution and delivery of the annual audit plan, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
  2. Contribute to the SOX program, including walk-throughs, testing, remediation testing, deficiency analysis, and reporting, to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  3. Perform risk-based operational and financial audits to identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations for process enhancements.
  4. Present and discuss audit findings, recommendations, and conclusions with management, ensuring effective communication and implementation of audit recommendations.
  5. Manage and train junior team members, providing guidance and support to ensure their professional development and growth.
  6. Track outstanding recommendations to ensure adequate implementation and follow-up on audit findings.
  7. Draft comprehensive audit reports for all management levels, providing clear and concise summaries of audit results and recommendations.
  8. Prepare flowcharts, identify key controls, and draft risk-based audit programs to ensure thorough and effective audit coverage.
  9. Assist with special projects as requested by the Internal Audit Manager, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment.
  10. Identify potential process and business improvement opportunities, providing recommendations for process enhancements and cost savings.
  11. Attend and present at meetings as requested, ensuring effective communication and collaboration with stakeholders.
  12. Prepare and present status updates as requested, providing timely and accurate information to management and stakeholders.
